By God’s design and with God’s grace, parent-child discipleship is most effective.
•Less than 10% of parents in the church practice any kind of spiritual disciplines in the home.*
•88% of youth do NOT have regular dialog with their mom on faith/life issues and 95% don’t with their dad.*
They only spend an average of 1% of their week at church.*
The result is…
We are losing the majority of our children who grow up in the church to the world and its value system.
What happens in the home spiritually is VITAL to a child’s faith.
This is why God said:
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:5-7
A child’s faith can flourish in a loving home where seeking and following God is the norm.
The goal is to see faith at home become the culture of the church, creating a paradigm shift, so what happens at church becomes a catalyst for what happens in the home.
