Mom/Dad, You Lead a Home Church.

Every Mom and Dad leads a church. That’s right, like it or not, feel equipped or not…you lead a home church.  (If you are a Grandparent, keep reading or forward this to your kids.) He chose you to pastor those kids! No one is more perfect for the job! (Notice, I didn’t say you were perfect.) It’s God’s plan. It’s because you have the opportunity to share God’s redemptive story (and live out God’s story) each day of the week.

Remember this verse? “Impress them [the Lord’s commands] on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:7

To help you lead your home church, here is one resource we love to share with all moms, dads and grandparents who have kids around 13 years and younger.  It’s called the Family Bible Library.

I wish I could post videos and samples, which I have done in the past, but their lawyers called me and told me if I didn’t take if off our website, I was going to get sued!  (No kidding!)

Our kids love it!  We’ve used it for over 15 years. I STILL read it with Bethany most mornings!  I love the time in the morning with her snuggling beside me as I read a Bible story that is so well written, we are both drawn into the story and drawn closer to our God and Savior! It’s a 10 Volume set.  (It’s why our kids would amaze their Sunday School teachers with Bible knowledge!)

Here is a picture of them, so you can find a set on Amazon or eBay. I recently purchased 4 more sets, so that I’ll have a set to give to each of our kids when they have kids of their own.

Take a few minutes every day, either in the morning, in the car or at bedtime and lead your home church.  It’s not as hard as it seems. The payoff is eternal. What a privilege and honor to lead the little souls He has entrusted to us!

Helping your home church!
